JAPANESE NAVAL AMBITIONS
RESISTANCE FROM AMERICA LIKELY LONDON, June 21. The "Daily Express," commenting on the Japanese Foreign Office spokesman's statement that Japan will seek revision of the 5-5-3 ratio laid down in the Washington Treaty, to enable her to obtain parity with the United States, says: "Japan is greatly mistaken if she thinks the United States will willingly allow her to build up to American strength in the Pacific."
