UTILITY CLUB BENEFITS To raise money i'or improvements to its houses at Papanui. the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club held an auction sale of poultry, produce, and poultry farm accessories in the Red Comb Egg and Poultry Market last night. The auction realised £2B Os 9d. The birds—4s pens in all—and the produce and accessories were given by members and friends of the club, and the auctioneers. Messrs W. H. West, G. H. Bradford, P. Adams, and H. C. Smith, gave their services free. After the sale,. Mr A. Gapes showed how to kill and pluck a fowl in Jwo minutes.
