ACCIDENTS
FOOTBALL INJURIES Two accidents during football on Saturday necessitated transport to the Christchurch Public Hospital by the St. John Free Ambulance. Playing at Sydenham Park, the Hornby winger, C. Matson, ricked his back. After treatment as an outpatient, he was discharged. The other accident occurred at Kirwee, where a player called Sadler received a broken leg. He was attended to by Dr. Reid, of Darfield, and afterwards was brought into town. FATAL BULLET WOUND (ritESS ASSOCIATION TELSOBAM.) INVERCARGILL, May 13. While pig shooting with two companions on Saturday Edgar Thomas White, of Drummond, received a bullet wound in the temple, and died before he could be taken to hospital. BROKEN LEG Slipping on the footpath of Victoria street, near the Durham street intersection, Mr Lumsden, of Kilmore street, suffered a broken leg. He was attended to by the St. John Free Ambulance at 11.30 on Saturday evening.
