CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR SOCIETY
RALLY AT CAMBRIDGE TERRACE An intermediate and senior Christian Endeavour rally was held in the Cambridge Terrace Methodist Church o:i Monday. The Rev. R. Warnock presided over an attendance of 97, representing 10 senior and five intermediate societies. The badges and diplomas won in the recent Christian Endeavour expert examination were presented by the president. Tire successful candidates were Messrs A. T. Foster and H. Ormerod. who gained honours, and Misses M. Cocker. E. Smith, and E. Goodchild. The Rev. N. R. Wood, of the Linwood Baptist Society, addressed the gathering on the text. "I will bless thee . . . and thou shalt be a blessing." Musical items were given by Miss A. Dorccn. of the St. Albans Church of Christ Society, and by the Papanui Methodist Intermediate Soiety. Mr S. Winder, of the Opawa Baptist Society, led the community hymn singing, and Miss L. Kirk was organist. The Revs. W. B. Pickering and J. Draper were specially welcomed by the president.
