MAN ARRESTED

SON SUFFERS WOUND IN ARM

John Carr. a farm labourer, aged 56, of 11 Johns street, Belfast, was arrested last evening on a charge of assaulting his son, Leo Carr, aged 18. The son was taken to the Public Hospital with a deep knife wound in his arm, stated to have been received during an altercation with his father. Dr. H. T. Jennings, of Papanui road, was called to the Carrs' home shortly after 3 p.m., and after attending Leo Carr ordered his removal to the hospital. The boy later returned to his home. Constable Anderson, of Belfast, arrested the father, who will appear in the Magistrate's Court this morning on a charge of assault.
