THREE TOWNS AFFECTED
(Received April 22, 8.41 p.m.) CALCUTTA, April 21. After protracted disputes over hours and wages, labour unions in Bombay, Ahmedabad, and Sholapur have decided to call a general strikv of textile workers on April 23. Sections of the workers, especially in Ahmedabad, are hostile to the decision because of the industry's depressed condition. The Bombay police arrested Girni Kamgar. a strike leader, and president of the Red Flag Union, on a charge of seditious speech.
