SIR CHARLES SKERKETT'S ESTATE Sir Charles Perrin Skcrrell by his will set aside a portion of his estate with direction.'; to the .rustees to invest it and, subject to certain directions, to apply the income to .such educational charities in New Zealand as they might think fit.
At a meeting of the trustees, Miss M. Skerrctt, the Hon. Mr Justice Johnston, and Mr D. G. A. Cooper, the eighth half-yearly allocation of income was made as follows: —New Zealand Institute for the Blind, £9; Salvation Army, Wellington, £9; Wellington Free Kindergarten Association, £10; Anglican Boys' Home, Lower Hutt, £9; Presbyterian Orphanage and Social Service Association, £9; Seatoun Boys' Preparatory College, £10; Upper Hutt Gilds' Convent, £10; Hastings Convent, £2l; Palmerston North Convent, £10; Napier Convent, £2l; Marist Brothers, Hawkestone street, £10; St. Joseph's Convent, Daniell street, .Wellington, £lO.
