FLOODS IN RANGOON
, _<>. HEU RAIN IN UNITED PROVINCES (Received April 22, 8.40 p.m.) CALCUTTA, April 20. Fourteen inches of rain on Thursday flooded the city of Rangoon and dislocated communications. Red rain fell in the United Provinces. The deposit found on tne ground has been sent to the Government analyst. TWELVE PERSONS KILLED BY LIGHTNING (Received April 23, 12.50 a.m.) CALCUTTA, April 22. Twelve persons were killed by lightning in South India. Six, including two women, were struck while working in the fields, and four were burned to death in a house which was struck by lightning.
