Nichol- j stated that there was far more ' confidence in the industrial and j commercial world to-day than at | any time during the lest few years. J He said that trade wa? improv- } ing, unemployment was decreasing, > bank clearings were up, railways ; traffic figures were rising, com- i parries' reports were better, and | dividends were higher. Above all, ! there was a big weight of money j pressing down all interest rates and j levering up investment value. i He added that during the years j of depression everyone had become ; far more efficient, and costs had j been reduced in praciicaily every ' industry.
