The Superintendent of Mercantile Marine. Lyttelton. wrote advising that acting on instructions received from the Marine Department, he would visit Kaiapoi to-day about the moorim; buoy at Kairaki. The letter was received and the chairman and the chairman of the harbour committee were deputed to meet the superintendent.
