Four broken insulators were replaced on the 11,000 volt line as well as a line with four broken strands out of seven. To have duue this, work in normal times it would have bi en necessary to cut otT the current for one and a half IkJts. Sand has been carted from the road side of the sea wall on the esplanade between Cave Rock and Grafton street. Fair progress is being made with the protect ion behind the sea wall from Elision street to the Feach tea rooms. The application of the Sumner Association Football Club for the use of St. Leonard's square was granted.
