♦ With three days to elapse before the 10 per cent, penalty is imposed on the Christehurch City Council's 1933-34 rates, the aiflbunt collected up to noon on Saturday had not quite reached 50 per cent, of the total levied. The amount collected on Saturday was £3600. and the total to date is £1(33.613, or 49 36 per cent, of the total levied.
