MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD

o TOUR OF NORTHERN FART OF SOUTH ISLAND The Maui Highways Board will make a tour of North Canterbury. Marlborough, Nelson, and the West Coast next month, inspecting the highways and conferring with local bodies. The tour will take about a fortnight, starting and finishing at Christehurch. On April 20 board members will visit Kaiapoi and meet representatives of the Kaiapoi Borough Council and the Eyre County Council. At Rangiora they will confer with members of the Rangiora Borough Council and the Rangiora Ashley, and Oxford County Councils At BalcaiiT. the Kowai and Amberley County Councils will be met and at" Waikari the Amuri and Waipara County Councils. Visits will be paid to Cheviot and Kaikoura to meet representatives of the Cheviot and Kaikoura County Councils. On April 21 Kaikoura will be called at and representatives of the Awatere County Council met. The board members will then go on to Blenheim and Picton, Nelson.
