COLLECTION OF CITY RATES
A fairly busy day was experienced yesterday by those receiving payments of Christchurch City Council rates for 1933-34, at one period the queue of ratepayers being quite a long one. There were 822 separate transaction*, and the amount collected, £10,350, is the greatest for one day since the late*i became payable.
