REPRESENTATIVE CRICKET
TO THE EDITOB 0? THE P*ESS. Sir, —Having played and looked on at cricket for a very long time, 1 was astounded to read in your report of the Cricket Association meeting that a very strong recommendation was made lo play grade cricket on the Saturday when a representative game may be in progress. Was it a misprint? I hope so. The Australian papers said that their Board of Control lacked vision. Some of our delegates have been stone blind all their lives to dare to pass such a proposition. If that is the. way they boost their business, then they have no right in the position. Fancy a director of a firm advertising that his goods are so poor that the public had better buy elsewhere. Any cricketer who has no wish to play or go to see representative cricket should at least keep it to himself.—Yours, etc, L. ARMSTRONG. February 14, 1934.
