SPREYDON LIBRARY COMMITTEE

+ The monthly meeting of the Spreydon Library Committee was held recently. There were present Messrs L. Jolly (chairman), F. Brown, S. Scouse, E. Langford, J. Jarden, E. McPherson, Mesdames Marks, Ryan, Thompson, Cotter, and Eaton. The librarian's report for December showed that 10 new subscribers had been enrolled, 1530 books issued, and that subscribers had attended on 736 occasions. There had been 40 new books placed on the shelves, making a total of 3260 volumes. In January there were five new subscribers, making a total of 189 subscribers, an increase of 77 for the year ending January 31, 1934. A satisfactory report was received from the treasurer. The book buyer was empowered to purchase new books.
