CIVIC THEATRE "ROOKERY NOOK" "Rookery Nook" now showing at the Civic Theatre has added fresh laurels to its present great name by breaking the Civic Theatre's opening day record. At the request of thousands of picture-goers throughout New Zealand British Dominions Films imported from London a new copy of this world famous comedy, and judging by the reception it has received the company will not xegret its action. The entire Aldwych Theatre cast, Tom Walls. Ralph Lynn, Robertson Hare, Winifred Shotter, and Mary Brough, undoubtedly give the best performances of their screen career in this mirthmaker. Written by that genius of farce, Ben Travers, "Rookery Nook" gives one and all an excellent opportunity to give of their best, and they certainly, take advantage of the chances. Three excellent supports complete • an ideal programme. Box plans are open at the Civic Theatre from 10 a.m., where seats may be reserved at no extra charge. Regent Theatre—"As Husbands Go," 2.30 and 8 p.m. Plaza Theatre—"Private Life of King Henry VIII," 2.30 and 8 p.m. Crystal Palace—"Early to Bed," 12, 2.30, and 8 p.m. Majestic Theatre—"Midnight Club," 12, 2.30, and 8 p.m. Liberty Theatre—"Baroud" and "Major of Hell," 2.15 and 7.45 p.m. Grand Theatre—"Guilty as Charged," continuous from 11 a.m.
