SANDERS CUP CONTEST

CANTERBURY CREW SELECTED At a meeting of the Sanders Cup Committee of the Canterbury Sailing and Power Boat Association, held at Lyttelton last night, Irene was chosen to defend the Sanders Cup for Canterbury at Lyttelton in February next, and the following crew was selected: Elliot Sinclair (skipper), F. Forman (.spinnaker hand;, Harold May, and S. Fisher. Irene, sailed by Elliot Sinclair, won three races out of the four trials held. She was built about live years ago by Mr F. Dobbie, who also built Colleen, Avenger, Elfin, and Jean. Colleen, sailed by F. Forman, won the other race. Sinclair was a member of the Canterbury crew which won at Wellington in 1932, and of the crew which successfully defended the cup for Canterbury at Lyttelton in February last. Forman has been spinnaker hand of the Canterbury crew at three previous contests.
