FUNERAL
MR W. D. LAWRENCE The luneral of Mr W. D. Lawrence, who died on Monday, left the residence of his son, Mr J. W. K. Lawrence, yesterday afternoon, and was very largely attended. Burial .was at the Waimairi cemetery, and the funeral procession of more than 60 cars went by way of Fendalton road. A short service" at the house was conducted by the Ven. Archdeacon P. B. Haggitt, who also presided at the graveside. The pall-bearers at the house were Messrs G. L. Mathias, R. F. Hill, JF. Poulton, W. O. Campbell, F. A. Brittan, and C. K. Vigers, while at the graveside they were Messrs H. S. Lawrence, C. H. Lawrence, L. V. Lawrence, and J. W. K. Lawrence. The chief mourners were the sons and grandchildren. Wreaths were sent by wife, sons, and daughters-in-law; grandchildren — Gwynne, Barbara, John, Ponty, David, Josephine, Bill, Diana, Tony, and Tim; Mrs Isabel Bowen, Mrs Effie Pascoe, Mrs Thomson, Maurice Gresson.
