The plaintiff, who lost a leg as a rc-ult of his injury, alleged negligence against the defendant. Evidence was heard at length, and the jury awarded plaintiff damages amounting to £1407 lO.s. Mr A. C. Hanlon, for the defendant, gave notice to move for a new trial on the ground that the verdict was against the weight of evidence.
