A CATHOLIC FESTIVAL
—g. The annual procession in honour of the Kingship of Christ will be held at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, Barbadoes street, on Sunday afternoon. The procession will start at '2.30 p.m . and it is estimated that at least 6000 persons will take part. Two Catholic Boy Scout troops have been formed recently—the Cathedral and St. Mary's troops—and they will appear in the procession for the first time.
The mother of a Munich student i who was buried under an avalanche in Tirol on February 12 has recovered his body after digging for 40 consecutive days. As helpers she hired a ski-instructor and eight men of the volunteer labour corps. Three avalanches had in turn to be dug away. The lowest was 1300 yards long and 270 yards wide. The mother was anxious that tha body should not be • borne out by the glacier stream, and ] a wooden grid was sunk to prevent ; this. She had given orders that no - one bvt herself was to uncover th(? ' body Aiier, it was found.
