ANGORA RABBIT BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Angora Rabbit Breeders' Association was held in the Returned Soldiers' Association rooms. The president, Mr J. Bond, was in the chair, and there was a good attendance. Correspondence was received from Mr G. E. G. Rodgers, Havelock North, on the last consignment of wool, stating that the boxes arrived in sound condition and the wool in good order. The South Island Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club wrote concerning the renting of its rooms. It was decided to hold all meetings in future in the Poultry Club rooms, 603 Colombo street, on the first and third Thursdays in each month. The Agricultural Department wrote asking for a list of rabbit farmers in Canterbury. The secretary was instructed to procure the list and to forward it. The secretary was instructed to write to the secretary of the Returned Soldiers' Association regarding the use of the words "returned soldiers" in the association's title. It was proposed by Mr G. E. G. Rodgers and seconded by Mr Robinson that the association affiliate with the New Zealand Rabbit Breeders' Association. Mr Cullimore moved as an amendment, and Mr Lindsay seconded, that the matter be held over until further information was received. The amendment was carried. Mrs Robinson tendered her resignation as a member of the executive, and her resignation was accepted with regret. It was decided that the representative on the South Island Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club should have his fee paid by the association. Accounts amounting to £7 13s Cd were passed for payment. Messrs Gerrard and Hooper were elected new members.
