EAST CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOL

At the October meeting o£ the East Christchurch District School Committee those present were Messrs S. Baird (chairman), S. J. Green, L. A. King, W. M. Campbell, W. B. Munday, A. T. Stokes, and Mrs Perreau. The headmaster reported that the roll number was now boys 313, girls 318, a total of 631. The average attendance for the last month was 576, equal to 92 per cent. The general health of the pupils was good. The visiting committee reported that the grounds and buildings were in good order and recommended several minor repairs and renovations. Mrs Perreau and Mr S. J. Green were appointed a visiting committee for October.
