A claim by Eunice Dickson, widowed mother of Ernest Jospeh Dickson, one of the four persons killed in the Island Bay motor tragedy last April was heard in the Supreme Court before the Chief Justice (the Rt. Hon. Sir Michael Myers) to-day The defendant was Frederick Hooker. The amount claimed was £SOO, and it was alleged that negligent driving of the car by defendant had caused the death of plaintiff's son, on whom, plaintiff stated, she had been partiallv dependent, and from whom she had a reasonable prospect of greater support in the future. His Honour said he would go through the evidence carefully and give an oral judgment on Monday.
