SHIPPING NOTES The Matai arrived here early yesterday morning from Wellington. She discharged stores and material for the Godley Head Lighthouse, and loaded stores and cargo for southern lighthouses and Milford Sound. The Matai is to sail to-day for Akaroa. The tanker New Zealand is expected to arrive at Lyttelton to-mor-row from Dunedin to discharge motorspirits from Los Angeles. She is to sail later for Wellington. The Holmdale is an expected arrival at Lyttelton this morning from Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. She will load for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Alexander was expected to arrive during last night from Tarakohe. She will load here to-day for Nelson, Mapua, and Motueka. The Awahou is to load at Lyttelton on Monday for Waikokopu, Tolaga Bay, Tokomaru Bay, and Hick's Bay. The Waimarino is due here on Tuesday from Auckland and Wellington, and is to sail the same day for Dunedin, Bluff, and Timaru. The Waipiata is expected on Tuesday from the south. She will load for Picton and Auckland. The Opihi is timed to load at Lyttelton on Saturday next for Nelson and New Plymouth. The Gale is due here to-morrow from Timaru. She is to sail on Monday for Wellington and Wanganui. The Port Whangarei is timed to load at Lyttelton on Tuesday for Dunedin and Timaru. VESSELS WITHIN WIRELESS RANGI4 OF N.Z.
