DIPLOMATIC APPOINTMENT.
(BRITISH OFFICIAL Vi'IP.ELEHS.' (Received July 11, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, July 10. Sir Henry Chilton, British Ambassador in Santiago, has been appointed in succession to Sir Ronald Macleay, who is shortly retiring, as Ambassador in Buenos Aires.
