SAURIAN CLUB.
♦ The programme for the first concert of the Laurian Club for the forthcoming season will contain much that is of interest to music lovers in Christchurch. Prominent among the items will be Schubert's "Trout" Quintet in A Major, and Bach's D Minor pianoforte concerto. Other works to be performed will be suites for string orchestra by Mozart and Peter Warlock, songs for tenor voice by Joseph Jongen and Vincent O'Brien, with string accompaniment, and Hamilton Harty's arrangement of the beautiful Irish folk melody, the "Londonderry Air," for solo violin and string orchestra.
