FLOWER SHOW.

TEJMUKA DISPLAY. Outstanding displays of gladioli and asters wore the dominant features of the Tcmuka Horticultural and Floral Society's summer show. A light, drizzling rain, followed by a nor'wester, on the previous day, somewhat affected the quality of thfe flowers, but the generally was easily up to the standard of past shows. The champion gladiolus, a splendid specimen of Mrs S. A. Errey, was exhibited by Mr Alf "Watson. Mrp. G. Stewart, of Orari, was the owner of the champion rote. Considerable interest was shown in the . competition among Women's Institutes ior a challongo tup given by Mrs W. P. Eoulledge. The winner was the Temuka. institute, which secured 111 points, liangitiin Valloy being second with 101. The champion piece of needlework, a crociiet.ed tablecloth, was exhibited by Mrs 0. A. Davey, of Rangitira. Valley. . During the afternoon Ihe elio*' was officially declared open by the Mayor (Mr A. W. Buzan). The winner of the cottage garden competition was Mr H.
