In the House of Lords, Lord Templejfiore, in reply to a question -whether Argentina was sending prime beef as bagged meat offal in order to evade the qpota, said the Board of Trade had foreseen the possibility of a substantial increase in importations of "offal and other varieties," which were outside the quota arrangements, and had obtained an assurance from importers that this could be strictly regulated. The board would not wink at any evasion of the Ottawa Agreement and would take eve#y step to safeguard the Homo producer.
