The weather was line till the fourth race, when rain commenced and continued for the rest of, the afternoon. There was a large attendance, and the track was ill good . order. The totalisator handled £6802 10s, compared with £4989 on the first day last year, an increase of £Bl3 10s. An enqufry was held into interference caused by Autumn Dawn during th«j running of the Oringi High-weight Handicap, and the rider, J. Mills, was suspended for one month.
