RUGBY, December In reply to a telegram from the President of the League Council requesting that no step should be taken which might affect the status quo, and thus .aggravate the disputq with Great Britain regarding the Anglo-Persian oil concession, the Persian Government gives its assurance that it will ('continua to abstain from any act calculated to aggravate or extend the alleged dispute." The Persian Government also expresses its belief that the cancellation of the company's concessions is not calculated to provoke a conflict between the two Governments, seeing that 't expressed its desire to arrive at an equitable agreement with the comr pany.
