News received from Brisbane states that cobblestones wrapped in paper, not the sparks pings they expected, were found to be the contents of a case which was unloaded from an overseas ship by the employees of Martin Wilson Brothers, Limited, a motor accessory firm in Brisbane. The loss, which is estimated at £IOO, was the result of clever pilfering. The case was one of three, and it should have contained about 100 spark plugs. Around the outside of each case was a metal seal, which ordinarily would have to -be broken to reach the contents. The plugs were consigned from an American firm through New York, and probably had been about two months on the journey. The fact that American newspapers were used as packing to prevent the stones from rattling, indicated that the pilfering occurred before the case was loaded on the ship.
