MELANESIAN MISSION STEAMER.

DEDICATION AT GREENWICH. (TTJfITED PRESS ASSOCIATION" —BT ELICT*IC •nStItORWH—COPTWOHT.) LONDON, July 26. The Southern Cross VI., equipped as a school and hospital, sails on Friday for Auckland, where the new Bishop of Melanesia, the Eev. W, Baddeley, will embark. Surrounded by nine bishops and 100 clergy on the deck of the vessel at Greenwich pier, the Primate (Dr. Cosmo Gordon Lang) dedicated the ship. Speaking bareheaded in a torrent of rain, which quickly drenched his robes, Dr. Lang described the beautiful whitepainted ship as "the most romantic and heroic means of extending the Kingdom of God."
