R.S.A. SOCIAL.
The fortnightly social of tlie Lyttelton U.S.A., held in the Association's hall, attracted the largest attendance of members and friends this season, and a most enjoyable evening was spent in musical items, games, and dancing. Songs were given by Mr and Mrs M. Anderson, steel guitar items by Mr Tafii liewi, and a pianoforte solo by Mrs J. Taylor. Competitions were won by Mrs J. Morgan (two wins) and Mrs J. Carson. A mock court was responsible for much amusement. Music for the dancing was provided by Messrs J. MeNaulty and J. Wyatt, and Mr J. Coxon was M.C. 'A lucky spot waltz was won , by Miss A. Batten and Mr J. Wyatt, and a Monte Carlo waltz by Mr and Mrs J. Wilson. Ah excellent supper was served. Blankets and Boots Required. The Lyttelton Belief Committee is making a further appeal for food and clothing for distressed families in Lyttelton, especially for blankets and boots. Gifts may be left at the Council Chambers. ! The committee has made satisfactory i arrangements with the local boot repairers for the mending of boots and 8 eS mJ n neee ssitous cases on Tuesday and Thursday each week while the funds permit. Boots and shoes for repairing may be left at the Relief Office, Canterbury street, or at the Council Chambers on Mondays and Wednesdays in each week. A small charge will be made towards the cost of the repairs.
