ST. ALBANS WATERWORKS LOANS REDEMPTION LOAN, 1932, £20,350. THAT in pursuance and exercise of th® powers vested in it by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920." "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926," and all other powers (if any) it in that behalf enabliug, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: 1. TO raise a Loan of TWENTY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS (£20,350) for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of two loans of £'29,300 and £2930 maturing on the 31st October, 1932. -. THAT such Loan be known as THE ST. ALBANS WATERWORKS LOANS REDEMPTION LOAN, 1932, £20,350. J. THAT the term of the said Loan shall not exceed twenty (20) years. 4. THAT the interest on the said Loan shall be at a rate not exceeding £5 per centum per annum, payable halfyearly. u. THAT the form of security for payment of principal and interest on the said Loan shall be by means of debentures and relative coupons of a form in conformity with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926." (j. THAT an amount of Three Pounds (£3) i>er centum per annum bo and is hereby appropriated and pledged to be set aside as a sinking fund for the said Loan. 7. THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said Loan and the interest, sinking fund, .and other '-badges thereon, a Special Rate of Three Million One Hundred and Fortytwo Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirteen-Twelve Million Five Hundred Thousandths (3,1,42,713/12,500,000th5) of a penny in tho pound on the rateuble value (on the basis of the un> improved value) of all property comprised within the St. Albaiis Waterworks Loans Special Rating Area, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto. 6. Stream; thence along the bank of the Wairarapa Stream to Fulton avenue; thence easterly along Fulton avenue to Rossall street; thence along, Rossall street southeasterly to the left bank of the River Avon; thence along the left bank of the River to Bealey avenue; thence easterly along the centre of Bealey avenue to North Avon road; thence northerly and- easterly along North Avon road to Hills road; thence- northerly along tho centre of Hills road to Warrington street; thence across Warrington street to the junction of Hills road and Shirley road; thence along the centre of Shirley road to the southern boundary of Rural Section 345; thence along the north-east boundary of Rural Section 345 to Innes road; thence along Innes road to McFaddens road; thence along McFaddens road to 'Rutland street; thence along Rutland strfeet to Mays road; thence along Mays road to Papanui road; thence south-easterly along Papanui road to Normans road; thence south-westerly along Normans road to the smarting point. AND it is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolutions will bo sub mitted to an Ordinary Meetiifg of the Christ church City Council to be held in tho City Council Chambers, 194 Manchester street, on MONDAY, the 30th day of MAY, 1932, for confirmation as Special Orders. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given tliat at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch City Council held in the City Council Chamber, 194 Manchester street, Christchurch, at $ o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 18th day of April, 1932, a resolution was adopted to make a By-law, the short title of which shall' he "The Christchurch By-law No. 18." The object or purport of the proposed Bylaw is to repeal Sections 529 to 532 inclusive of tho Christchurch By-law No. 1 and to make provision for tho good rule and government of tho City of Christchurch, and in particular to deal with the following matters and things:— The us© of places as bakehouses. The preparation of meat or fat for sale for human food. The storage or offering for retail sale of meat. The use of premises for the retail sale of storage or exposure for retail sale of milk or cream. Tiie manufacture of ice-cream or ices. The use of premises for the purpose of preparing or manufacturing or bottling cordials, syrups, aerated waters, or beverages. AND IT IS HEREBY FURTHER I'UBLlCtiY NOTIFIED that the aforesaid resolution will be submitted to a meeting of the Christchurch City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, 194 Manchester street. Christchurch, on Monday, tho 16th day of May, 1932, for confirmation as a Special Order, and that a copy of the said proposed By-law is deposited at the Offico of the Christchurch City Council situated _as aforesaid, and is np t <n for inspection without .foe by the public during office hours, which are from 5.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except on Saturdays, when the hours arH from 8.30 a.m. iftntil noon.
