CITY COUNCIL. IN THE MATTER OF "THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, M-0-" RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL * ORDERS. I'T IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED 1 that tin; following resolutions were ADOPTED at a Special Meeting o£ tne CLristchurch City Council, held in the U J Council Chambers, 191 Manchester street, &* 8 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 2nd day ol May, 1932: PUBLIC BATHS ILEDEMPTION LOAN. 1932, £3900. THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by "The Municipal or lie rations Act, 1920," "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1026," and all other powers (it anv) it in that behalf enabling, the Cliribt church City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: ■ 1. To raise a Loan of THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED POUNDS (f3900) for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in a Loan of £SOOO maturing on the 3Utn June, 1939. muv 2. THAT such Loan be known as PUBLIC BATHS REDEMPTION LOAN, 1932, £3900. 3. THAT the term of the said Loan shall not exceed twenty (2°) years. -I. THAT the interest on the said Loan shall be at a. rate not exceeding io per centum per annum, payable naliyearly. 0. THAT the form of security for payment of principal and interest on the said Loan shall be by means of debentures and relative coupons of* a f° rrr [ in conformity with "The Local Loaies Loans Act, 1926." 0. THAT an amount of Three Pounds (£3) per contum per annum be and is hereby appropriated and pledged to be set aside ns b, sinking fund for the saul Loan. 7. THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said Loan and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, a special rale , Twenty-five Thousand One Huudrea and Seventy-Nine—Three Million One Hundred and Twenty-five Thousandths (25,179-5,125,000t1i5) of a penny in the pound on the rateablo value (on the basis on the unimproved value) of all property comprised within the Publio Baths Loan Special Rating Area, the boundaries of which are described m the Schedule hereto. 8. THAT the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund for the fii'3t year of the said Loan be not paid out of the Loan. 9. THAT the Christchurch City Sinking Fund Commissioners, viz., John K en " drick Archer, Arnaud McKellar, and JohVi Samuel Neville, be hereby appointed Sinking Fund Commissioners in respect of the said Loan. / SCHEDULE REFERRED TO ABOVE. Bounded towards the north-west generally by Normans road from the northernmost corner of Rural Section No. 242 to Papanui r<ad; thence by Papanui road to Mays road; thence by Mays road to McFaddens road; thence by McFaddens road to Pliilpotts road; thence by Philpotts road to Ir.nes road; thenco by Innes road to Rural Section No. 345 A; thence towards the northeast by that Section and Rural Section No. 2'95 to Shirley road; thence by Shirley road to Hills road; thence towards the east by Mills road to North Avon road; thence towards the north generally by North Avon road to Rural Section No. 197; thence by a road intersecting that section to the road which forms the north-western boundary of a subdivision of the said Section No. 197, containing 5 acres 2 roods; thence by the latter road to a subdivision of Section No. 197 containing 3 -acres and 35 perches; thence by tlib latter subdivision and its southern boundary-lino produced to the River Avon; ILciice towards the east generally by the Kivei* Avon to a point opposite the junction of liinwood avenue with Woodharu road; ti'ence along the centre of Liuwood avenue tc the south-eastern side of Aldwins road; thence by the south-eastern side of that road ontl its production to the south-western side of Ferry road; thence by the south-western side o! CENTRAL WATERWORKS REDEMPTION LOAN, 1932, £40,000. THAT in pursuance and exercise ot the powers vested in it by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," and all other powers (i 1 any) it in that behalf enabling, the Christ' church City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: —- 1. 'To raise a Loan of FORTY THOUSAND POUNDS (£40,000) for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of a Loan of £66.400 maturing on the 31st October, 1932. •J. THAT such Loan he known as THE CENTRAL WATERWORKS REDEMP- , TION LOAN, 1932, £40,000. 3. THAT the term of the said Loan shall not exceed twenty (20). years. 4. That the interest on the said Loan shall be at a rate not exceeding £5 pei centum per annum, payable half-yearly, u. THAT the form of security for payment of principal and interest on, the said Loan Bhnll be by means of debentures and relative coupons of a form in conformity with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926." C. THAT an amount of Three Pounds (£3)' per centum per annum be and is hereby appropriated and pledged to be set aside as a sinking fund for the said Lpan. 7. THAT the Council doth hereby appro-_ priate and pledge as security for the" repayment of the said Loan and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, a Special Rate of One Hundred and Ninety Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven—One Million Five Hundred and Sixty-two Thousand Five Hundredths (190,707/1,562,500th5) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the Central Waterworks Loan Special Rating Area, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto. 8. THAT the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the Loan be not paid out of the Loan. 9. That the Christchurch City Sinking Fund Comhiissioners, viz., John Kendrick Archer, Arnaud McKellar, and John Samuel Neville, be hereby appointed Sinking Fund Commissioners in respect of the said Loan.
