MOTORING AFFAIRS.
♦ MEETING OF AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION. The Council-of'the Canterbury Automobile Association met last evening, Mr W. R. Carey presiding. The following members were present: Messrs L. M. Wilson, J. D. Mason, B. Fak-k, H. E. .Kennett, \V. Osman, IT. C. Harley, G. vV Tench, F, \V. Johnston, C. G. Curtis, and Sir Arthur Dudley Dobson. . A donation of £lO was granted the Huudalee Scenic Board. Mr \V. Osinai) was appointed the Association's representative on the Peei , Forest Board. > Mr G. AV. Tench, suggested that the j ■Bailway Department should supply mor« effective warning devices at the crossings at Hornby and Templetou in view of the accidents of the past few years. He also mentioned the necessity for a. reflector or some other device at the intersection of Park terrace with Peterborough and Kilmore streets. It was decided to make a recommendation to the incoming Council to set up a Sports Committee for the provision of motor trials and competitions,
