TOURNAMENTS IN AUSTRALIA. (tjnitbp pbesb ASSOCIATION— ST ELICTMO . TELEGRAPH—COPTEIOBT.) SYDNEY, May 2. G. Koshnitsky, with six wins and two draws, won the New South Wales chess championship, with a total of seven points. M. Goldstein, with five points, was second, and C. Purdy and A. Shoebridge, 4}, tied for third place. M. Green, aged 22, won the Victoria chess championship, being unbeaten with nine wins and two' draws. The field included G. Watson, the champion of Australia.
