HEAVY LOSSES LAST YEAR. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —BY TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) BERLIN. March 16. The ReichsbankV annual report for 1931 shows that the bank lost 1,508,000,000 marks in its efforts to regulate the stability of the Reichsmark. Its obligations to foreign countries at the end of the year were 428,000,C00 Rni. compared with nearly 134,000,000 llni. in 1930. , , The report concludes that reparations had proved impracticable, and there was no other wav but to abolish this system formally and with the utmost speed, if the world was to be preserved from new economic and social catastrophes.
