INCREASE IN ENTRIES. TOP PRICE, NINE GUINEAS. Record ontrics were received for the annual ram fair held under the auspices of the xVahburton Agricultural and Pastoral Association at the Asliburton Show Grounds yesterday. Tho weather was fine and there was a large attendance, including buyers from all parts of Canterbury. Tho entries showed a substantial increase over those of the two previous yeara, the total being 1301, compared with 1140 last year and 845 in 1930. The Border Leicesters and English were well represented. Details of tho entries, with those of last year in parentheses, are as follows:—Flock rams; Ilomneys 65 (40), Corriodales 36 (51), English Leicestcrs 355 (20G), Border Leicester 476 (434), Southdowns 51 (101), Shropshires H 8 (9-4), Ryclands -1; stud rams 20 (9), unregistered rums 64 (23), stud ewes S9 (95). The top price of the sale was 9gns, for one one-shear Border Leicester Ktud ram, sold on account of Mr R. J. Low (Highbank) and purchased by Mr H., Simmons (Coldstream). Colonel J.
