NEWSPAPER PROPRIETORS CONFER. U'itSJS ASSOCIATION T.ELSUI.-U1..; AUCKLAND, February 10. The annual conference of newspaper proprietors, attended by delegates from all parts of New Zealand, was opened in Auckland to-day. The deliberations of tlio Newspaper Proprietors' Aissociation were presided over by the president, Mr C. W. Earlo, ot Wellington, and the meeting of directors of the United Pres# Association was held under the chairmanship of Mr A. M. Burns, of Cliristchurch. The day's proceedings were brought to a eleso with a meeting ef tlio General Committee of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association.
