The series of novel matches played on behalf of the Newspaper Press Fund was concluded at Thurston's H4II in Leicester square on Saturday/ when two more sessions of interesting, and amusing events were held. In the afternoon. Mrs MeConachy defeated her husband, the New Zealand champion, in a handicap match o£ 25 up, by 25 to 10. MeConachy was handicapped by having to play his stroke left-handed, and was not allowed to form a bridge, but for certain strokes was allowed to uso the table brush. In another match Miss
