, 0 If the various aero clubs of New Zealand are to continue their activities, .•iiid to expand as the needs of the country demand, it is obvious that they should receive a fair measure of financial support. Under the present circumstances, direct, aid from the Government or the ptifclic is impossible, but there is a simple (fay for everybody to assist, and that is through the medium of ;ui art union. It is interesting' to learn that a permit to conduct: an. art uniou lias been granted to the combined Manaw;itu,_ llawke's Bay, and Feilding Aero Clubs, and the scheme will shortly be launched. Those eluba are doing specially enter-, prising work in cultivating an "air sense'' in their territory, and people who wish to see flying take its proper place amongst transport activities in Xew Zealand should watcli for the advent of the art union referred to.
