GARDEN COMPETITION.
COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS' ASSOCIATION. The judging of the Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association gardens took place last week. The judges were Messrs W. J. Huinm ; j. Xlursliall, and C. liides r The silver cup presented by JUr Arthur Rose Was won by Mr L!. S. Field, Jacob street, St. Albans. The second prize, a lawn mower, presented by Mr A M iSlieuuan, was won by Mr K »• Hascll, Clyde road. Mr K...KUer, Woodham road, was third. -Mr W . G» Hewellyn, of Edgetvare road, was hrst> in the vegetable section. Mrs H. O. Brookes secured first prize in the Brighton section of the 'competition. The judges were very pleased with the gardens visited, but the majority had suffered through lack of ram The ten special prijses, presented oy various firms in Christ-church. arc to be awarded at a gathering in the clubhouse next V rid ay.
