The Bavarian Crown jewels were auctioned at Christie's. The Wittelsbach Blue Diamond was bought for £SOOO. A diamond tiara brought £7OOO, a pendant £4OOO, an oblong emerald £SGOO, a hexagonal ono £3IOO, and a smaller one £2750. Thirteen articles totalled £39,300. A necklace of 67 pearls fetched £16,500, and another pearl necklace £BOOO.
