ORGAN RECITAL.
DR. BRADSHAW IN THE CONCERT HALL. At the Municipal Concert Hall last night, Dr. Bradshaw closed his cycle of organ recitals with a most generous and artistically chosen programma suitable for the Christmas season. Needless to say that both as executant and mature interpreter, Dr. Bradshaw sustained his just reputation. He offers little scope, even for haggling over tempos, that stand-by of the critical armoury. With Handel's Overture and exquisite "Pastoral Symphony" the recital started impressively, followed by a procession of lovejy music, chorale, carols, and the exhilarating chorus from the "Massinh," "For unto us a Child is Born." After Gounod's "Nazareth'' and a graceful "Angelus" by Massenet, came Guilmant with movements from a "Symphony for Organ and Orchestra," a very fine work huilt on a large scale, with a brilliant "Allegro." In the second part that great show piece of all organists, Lenimeris's "Storm," was the most conspicuous , feature, splendidly produced. D'Aquin's charming "Noel" with variations, and Horsman's "Curfew" were the most appealing among the remainder of' the big programme -A large audience applauded heartily with everv number.
