Testerday •the sun shone from a cloudlens Bky, wa-s very iwarm, with the!lightest breeze from the south in the morning;, nnd a flat calm in the afternoon - Dunedin —The weather wis .dull and overcast on Saturday, with n light brepje. froni the Yesterday was gloriously fine, with a fresh north-east breezes: Tho barometer fell slightly durlnp the morning, but* was steady last evening- at-30.00. vTorecast. General Situation —Pressure is high over and to the east of the Dominion, and low to tho west, an anti-cyclone being centred over the • Chatham Islands and a series _of depressions, whiah have intensified, covering the-northern and western Tasman Sea. Winds —Moderate to stronger, freshening, north to cast .generally. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Moderate, but rising on the east coast. Eastern Tasman Sea—Strong north-east -winds and rather rough seas. Weather —Still fine over the South Island and cloudy over the North, but becoming dull and unsettled generally, with mi6ty rain probable, and later some heavy falls. Warm temperatures.
