The drop is the seque to the surprisingly high estimate of thi American cotton crop, in addition t< ' the season's crop, which is expectec ; to yield 15,000,000 bales. There ar< 9,000,000 bales from previous crops ii , stock in the United States and else where. A new process for making articles of table-ware such as forks and spoons, having the appearance of real gold, at less cost than similar articles can be produced in electro-plated nickel and silver, has been discovered in Sheffield.
