YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. i I Firm but dull and inactive conditions i generally prevailed on call yesterday > and recorded dealings were restricted to a few lines. Transactions, exclusive of , vestibule business, included:— 100 Bank of New Zealand (late sale 10th). ) 20 Union Bank of Aust. i 100 Mt. Lyell. 500 Golden Point (Is paid). 100 Golden Dawn. 100 Goldsbrough, Mort. Bank of Australasia shares were easier with sellers at £8 lis, buyers at £8 2s 6d. Buyers of National Bank of New Zealand shares moved up to £3 14 S sellers at £3 19s. A late sale of Bank of New Zealand shares on Monday was reported at 48s 6d, market closing 48s 4d buyers, 48s 7d sellers. Union Bank of Australia shares were firm at £G 7s closing quotations £6 5s 6d buyers, £6 8s sellers. Miscellaneous. Buyers of Queensland Insurance shares moved up to 2Gb, without attracting sellers. Goldsbrough, Morts were firmer with dealings at 19s 5d market closing Id on either side. Unsupported sellers of New Zealand Ilefrigerating fully paid shares reduced their limits to 10s 9d. Buyers of New Zealand Breweries shares were easier at 29s 4d, sellers at 30s. Sellers of. Staples Brewery shares were firm at 2(55, buyers at 245. Tooths Brewery shares had buyers at 16s 6d, but sellers wanted 17s 9d. British Tobaccos were available at 23s 7d, buyers at 235. Mt. Lyells changed hands at 16s 9d, market closing 16s 8d buyers, 16s lid sellers. Golden Point Is paid shares were firm at Is 4d, closing quotations Is 3Jd buyers, Is 4d sellers.
