SUPREME COURT. (Before hir Honour Mr Justice Adams.) Edith Harrison, plaintiff, joined Augustus S. Rees and F.D. Kesteven with N. LiMaebeth as executors under the *'Will' r of v E. D.' Bees as defendants in an action under the Family Protection Act, asking that adequate provision should he made for . the plaintiff out of the estate of the deceased. His Honour granted £250. Dr. A. li. Haslsm appeared for tho plaintiff, Mr A, B. Hobbs for A. S. Rees, and Mr 13. C.. Champion for the trustees. MAGISTERIAL. FRIDAY. (Before Mr E. D. Mosley, 5.11.) CONVERTING A BIOYCYLE. Robert Henry Brockie, of Raglan street, clerk, aged 27 years, was charged with Converting to his own use a bicycle valued v fjt. £4, tha property of, persons unknown. Sub-In3pector P. J. O'Hara, for the police, said that Brockie was at present on probation, and had a list of previous convictions. ' He . W!)s sentenced to two months' imprisonment with hard labour. TRAFFIC CASES. •*; Henry Bwen Ash, for driving a' car in it manner dangerous to the. public, was fined : JS3 and costs, and his license was cancelled tor three months. ' : ' ' The evidence .of the police was that Ash 'was driving after 1 a.m., and crossed intersections at a speed of 1 from 40 to 45 miles an hour. ffor failing to give way to traffic on tlie right, .tho following were dealt with:—Edward Doyle, £2 and costs,; Patrick O'Hallorsin (Mr M. "W. Simes), 20s and coßts; 'William Norman Perkins, £2 and costs; : A, similar charge , against Glen Pollock (Mr K. M. Gresson) was dismissed. George Toner was fined £2. and costs for failing: to gire way,-and 10s and costs for driving without a license. For negligent driving, Arthur Francis Stacey was fined £2 and costs. A similar charge 'against Ivan John " Ashton Robinson (Mr; W. F, Tracy) was dismissed. ' Watson, who cut the corner to his right at the intersection of .Cashel and Colombo streets wh«n the automatic signals changed to show againßt him was fined 10s and costs. Henry Alexander Frew, for lighting a Bre without 1 permit, was fined 10s and costs.
